Developer guide · Early access

Make your game ready for Remio.

A practical baseline for submitting a fast, polished browser game. Requirements will become more specific as the Remio SDK and self-serve portal roll out.

A web build

Provide a ZIP with index.html at its root. Use relative asset paths and avoid server-side executables.

A quick start

Keep the initial download small and get players into meaningful gameplay as quickly as possible.

Responsive play

Support the devices and orientation you declare. Controls and text must remain usable at real iframe sizes.

Player-safe content

The game must be original or properly licensed, functional, and suitable for a broad browser-game audience.

Launch assets

Prepare a clean thumbnail, wide artwork, a short description, controls, genre, and studio information.

A tested release

Test the production build in current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari where your technology supports it.

Submission checklist

What to send us now.

Early access is intentionally simple. A link is enough to start the review.

  1. 1

    Playable link

A public or password-protected URL where we can test the current web build.

  2. 2

    Creator details

Your name, studio name, country, engine, and links to previously released games.

  3. 3

    Game overview

Genre, target devices, controls, core loop, and what makes the game distinct.

  4. 4

    Ownership

Confirmation that you own or are authorized to publish the code, art, audio, and brands used.

  5. 5

    Known constraints

Tell us about unfinished features, browser limitations, or third-party services the game needs.

FAQ

Good to know.

Can I upload a ZIP directly?+

Not yet. Direct uploads, automated build checks, release history, and performance analytics are planned for the self-serve developer dashboard. For early access, send us a playable link.

Is the Remio SDK required?+

No SDK is required during early access review. We are designing a lightweight integration for lifecycle events, ads, analytics, and future player services; the guide will be updated before it becomes a launch requirement.

Do I need to be exclusive to Remio?+

No. Remio does not require exclusivity for early-access submissions unless both sides explicitly agree to a separate publishing arrangement.

Which engines are supported?+

Any engine that produces a standards-based browser build can be considered, including Unity WebGL, Godot, Construct, Defold, Phaser, PlayCanvas, and custom HTML5 stacks.

How will monetization work?+

Revenue share and ad integration are still being finalized. We will provide exact commercial terms before a game is approved for a monetized launch.
